Minto celebrates the completion of its newest Net Zero Energy home near Ottawa

What:
Minto celebrates the completion of the first Net Zero Energy home it has built as part of a Canada-wide program. The Net Zero Energy home, the first of five to be built in Kanata’s Arcadia community, will produce as much energy as it consumes.
Media and guests are invited to tour the home and get a first-hand view of the home’s energy efficient features.

The national pilot project, led by Owens Corning Canada, will almost double the amount of Net Zero Energy homes across the country. The pilot aims to use existing building technologies to prove that Net Zero Energy homes are achievable at the community-level, as opposed to one-off projects. Minto is one of five builders participating in this pilot project that will see a minimum of 25 Net Zero Energy homes built in five communities across Canada.
